Co je skialp?
Skialp neboli skialping je horská turistika na lyžích, která využívá volného horského terénu. Úplně jednoduše řečeno – klasický lyžař na vrchol vyjede, kdežto skialpinista ho zdolá po svých, vybavený pouze speciálně upravenými lyžemi.
Důvodů pro skialpinismus je mnoho. Nejčastějším lákadlem této adrenalinové turistiky je však poznávání méně prozkoumaných míst, stejně jako vyhnutí se davům lidí.
Současně se jedná o nádhernou záležitost, která člověku během jediného odpoledne poskytne nespočet zážitků i magických výhledů.
Skialping však není pro všechny. Přece jen se přes jeho velkou popularitu jedná o poměrně adrenalinovou zábavu, která hrozí třeba i lavinovým nebezpečím. A ztratit se v horách také nechcete.

Skitouring, zkušený průvodce nebo parta zkušených kamarádů
Jsou sporty a zážitky, které si člověk vychutná nejvíce o samotě. Mezi ty však skialping rozhodně nepatří. Horská turistika na lyžích je skupinovou aktivitou. A zvlášť v začátcích byste i na ty nejmírnější trasy měli vyrážet s partou, která má bohaté zkušenosti. Pokud takovou partu nemáte, většina horských středisek nabízí průvodce.
Ten vás naučí vše o teorii skialpingu, často vám půjčí i vybavení a poté si společně všechno vyzkoušíte v praxi. Jedná se pravděpodobně o ten nejbezpečnější způsob, jak s touto aktivitou začít.
Na začátku půjde s průvodcem pravděpodobně o tzv. skitouring, během kterého budete procházet bezpečnější a frekventovanější trasy. I tak to bude však stát za to!
Vybavení na skialping
Jak už jsme zmínili, skialp je ve své čisté formě pohyb po horách mimo turistické oblasti. A s tím jde ruku v ruce i nebezpečí. V horách můžete i se zkušenou partou snadno zabloudit a k tomu jste v neustálém lavinovém nebezpečí. Proto je důležité ovládat veškeré nuance pohybu v horském terénu, ale nesmí vám chybět ani skialpinistické vybavení, do kterého kromě vhodných lyží se skialpinistickým vázáním patří také lavinový vyhledávač (pípák), lopata a sonda, které skialpinistům mohou v případě laviny zachránit život.
Než se na svou první túru na lyžích vydáte, nezapomeňte ani na pořádně teplé oblečení. Základem je, stejně jako u ostatních sportů, termoprádlo i dostatečné vrstvení.
